Painting Photobook

As Part of the start of my Project I decided to create a book of photos that could act as inspiration for drawings and developments in my work. The photos are all ones that I have taken and are from numerous cities around the world. Once I created this book I have something that could always trigger a drawing that could lead to a painting of some form. It turns out that I tended to use more that had a very obvious strong structure as it was very simple to take the lines from them and refine them.

London 2012

These photos all seem a lot darker than they are because of the weather, its really dark cloud. However I think that this makes the contrast more obvious and in some of the photos more effective.

Barcelona 2013

These photos where taken in the summer and there seems to be this more cheerful matter about them just because of the weather and the colours in the pictures. The architecture in these images are a lot more complex and also more curvy.

Paris 2013

These photos where taken all over the city and they vary again to the images I took in both Barcelona and London. The architecture and the buildings are a lot more Gothic in style and emphasize certain parts of the structure.

Dubai 2011

These photos where taken on a holiday a couple of years ago and there is some crazy and amazing architecture. Dubai tries to out-do everywhere else and it constantly changes, I bet if i went back now the city will be completely different. I could create some really interesting drawings from these pictures.

London 2013

These are photos that I took on the London study trip, I specifically looked for interesting architecture because it knew it would link in my project. I will make drawing and paintings from theses photos.
