I have now experimented with dry points, which is an alternative to mono-prints; I like this because it was more controlled than the mono- prints. You can really plan the marks you make and vary the shade that the colour by the amount that you clean your plate and the times that you repeat it. I chose to develop images from the first stages of my sketchbook. They are drawings of natural forms such as leaves. I have tested out creating different tones in the plate by cutting into it with different depths. I think that this method could be used to enhance other prints and also by itself. I also printed the pack of the plates because I find the accidental patterns that they make really interesting and repeating them next to each other is really nice.
