I started by exploring the urban environment around Leicester, before moving on to creating drawings from my photo book. I wanted to keep the drawing in biro and black and white to make them simple and then make them more complex. I want the work that I create to be visually interesting and aesthetically pleasing, I'm not really worried about the meaning behind it. I want the patterns and colour to develop from these drawings.
